Quick answer
Yes. Put your arm out clearly as the bus approaches your stop. A relief driver who does not know your stop may be covering the route.

Do I need to signal for the bus to stop?
For passengers waiting at a school bus stop.
All drivers are trained on their routes, and we use the same drivers on each route every day. Occasionally a driver may be on holiday or off ill, and a spare driver will cover the route.
For this reason, signal clearly to the driver as the bus approaches your stop. Put your arm out and the driver will see you and pull in.
